Commentary

The year was 4 CE. I was going about my days, working on Ersatz Heart. However, the weeks were passing and I wasn't quite reaching the level I wanted to be at.

While I was writing and composing, I'd go back to the Land of Diverging Realities, haunting the areas I used to frequent just like I did with the City of Gray and Blue after I removed my presence there. I had a desire to reference exactly what I saw while I was writing about past events. 

Then there was the other issue--I started craving social interaction again. I tried to brute force my way through by telling myself, I don't want to deal with others. But I still reminisced on the last couple of years, thinking back to Cesare, Sarah, and Jerome out of a belief that we would mesh well together. Thus, the "Harmony Brigade" was born. It was a bit of a joke when I first came up with it, for my goal was to just make music by myself and find new people later. Yet, the thought of letting them go proved unbearable.

And so, I wrote a song about us being together.

Notes
1 Cesare is on the same quest as me. Jerome is in the unknown world too, but he doesn't care. Sarah is not privy to it.

2 Sarah is also the one I have the least amount of interaction with.

3 Jerome's inclusion in the Harmony Brigade also reflects the fantastical nature of it and its function as a replacement for regular social interaction. Perhaps Cesare, Sarah, and Jerome's lines aren't reflective of themselves, but rather what I derive from them.

4 I see a different aspect of myself in each of the other Harmony Brigade members. For Cesare it's aspiration, for Jerome it's situation, and for Sarah it's interests.
